Rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine, Qigong (pronounced 'chee-gung') is a 4,000-year-old practice often described as "meditation in motion." In this class, students will be guided through gentle, slow movements and breathing exercises that promote deep inner focus, stress relief, improved mobility, and enhanced circulation.

Students will specifically practice the Heaven & Earth Qigong form, which originates from the Sheng Zhen tradition that emphasizes radical love. This class encourages participants to nurture both their bodies and hearts, cultivating compassion and a sense of expansion in a gentle seated setting.

In addition to the benefits of deep breathing and mindfulness, the repetitive movement styles found in Qigong can help improve muscle memory and coordination. These rhythmic motions promote relaxation and help release tension, making them an effective way to enhance overall well-being and promote mental clarity. By regularly practicing these movements, students can experience greater stability and a more profound connection between body and mind.
