Our Story

Owner & instructor, Riley Velasquez, an Amarillo native, opened Reunited Yoga Studio on June 1st, 2025. Throughout her childhood and early adulthood, Riley has suffered from chronic illnesses, and began practicing yoga consistently in 2020. With the help of yoga and her family, Riley's health and life began to change, and she knew immediately she needed to share this with others.

With the help of her friends and family, at just 22 years old, whilst studying full-time at WTAMU in Canyon, TX, Riley has committed herself to sharing the practice of yoga, and its benefits with her hometown.

Riley accredits the studio's success to the dedication and support of her students, friends, and family, who helped her see her dream through of building a space where bodies and minds can seek peace and experience self-transformation through mindful movement and intuitive living in an inclusive atmosphere.

Addy Barnett

35 hr Sound Healing Practitioner

While studying theology in college, her perspective on religion, healing, and energy broadened when she stumbled upon a yoga class and a world religions course that profoundly impacted her worldview.

As a creative person who is not shy, Addy's passion for connecting with others shines brightly, and she has always sought to lend a helping hand. When she discovered that she could heal others through music, she eagerly embarked on her journey with Sound Medicine Academy. Now, Addy operates Cosmic Sound Sanctuary, her sound practice where she leads regular group and private sound sessions, promoting deep relaxation and nervous system regulation through the ancient practice of sound healing.

Christy Ford

220 Hour Registered Kundalini Instructor

Christy began her journey as a licensed professional counselor in 2004. After roughly 15 years helping clients of all ages process trauma—and while raising two children, one with significant medical needs—she reached a point of deep mental, emotional, and physical exhaustion. In 2018 she created space for essential self-care by enrolling in the Kundalini Yogi program at Purest Potential in Santa Fe, NM. Kundalini practice gave her tools to ground herself, address overwhelmed and exhausted, reconnect to her inner center rather than constant survival mode of reacting to the demands of work and motherhood.

Toward the end of that program, Christy began studying Munay Ki (Peruvian Indigenous healing practices) with Shaman Jean Domingues in Albuquerque. Though she had previously studied with various Native American healers, Munay Ki resonated with her deeply with the immense depth into oneself, life path and harmey this practive offeres. She is a Mesa Carrier and completed all three levels of Munay Ki plus mentorship over five years.

Christy enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, reading, and hanging out at Cooke Ranch, her mother’s home.
